What were you born to be?
One thing I know is that we are not here on this earth to keep calm and silent. We were born to shake the planet. Turn it around with praise for our King. We are on a mission and should not slow down or stop until we fulfil our purpose of being on this earth. Haven’t you heard what the scripture says in Romans 8:19? ‘The whole world is eager waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.’ By God’s grace, I want to fulfil my part in that scripture, and I pray you do as well. The question remains or is, what are we doing with our God-given potentials and purpose? We didn’t receive them so we can box and keep them in storage, nor are they meant for the wrong reasons.
Examining my life and sitting back and looking around, at how we children of God are using our talents and giftings glorifying the world rather than God, brings tears to my eyes at times. We want the quick fix and overnight fame success, express record contracts and fast track achievements. No one intends to wait for the right time that God has proposed. We think it’s old school doing that. No one wants to go through the pain of climbing the ladder from the very bottom to the top. We just want to fly to the top effortlessly, skipping the queue at the bottom. We want express escalation. But excuse me, some of the ingredients required to develop our talents and giftings are in those different ladder steps experience we are trying to skip.
My Bible tells me that every good and perfect gift comes from above. We need to ask ourselves if what we’re doing is from God. There is a price for the anointing they say. But no one wants to pay for it. Even Jesus had to pay the price to redeem and save humanity. The price was His precious innocent blood He shed for us on the Cross. But today it’s different, we all want things to happen fast and easy without any sacrifice including myself. We don’t want to go through the process; we think it’s just too long a wait. If only we know what we were born to be and do, then we will wait and work towards getting there and fulfilling that purpose.
You and I need to seek God to reveal His purpose for us, and then accomplish it diligently and efficiently without delay by His help. Do not procrastinate about doing it later because we all have limited time here on earth. Be a trustworthy vessel and serve the King with that which He has given you.
Do you know God’s purpose for your life? Why not ask Him to show you? He is a loving Father who is ever ready to answer whenever we call. But be patient as you wait to hear from Him.
